Hello and welcome to my eportfolio! This site is a working document meant to display my academic, professional, and personal development.

I have my undergraduate degree from Millersville University and a masters degree from Wilkes University. Most recently, I will earn my second masters degree from Lamar University August 2017! I teach 9th and 10th grade English at Owen J. Roberts High School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, where I also have been a volleyball coach, basketball coach, and one of the advisors for our Mini-THON.

At home I live with my husband, who is also a high school teacher, 2 dogs, cat, and rabbit. On April 17, 2017 we added two little girls, Riley and Mia, to our Trupe Farm. Motherhood has been the most challenging and amazing journey I have experienced so far, and I can’t wait to see where it takes my family and me!

In addition to teaching and family, I am also passionate about technology and life-long learning. One of the main reasons I became a teacher is because I love learning new things, and I hope to help influence my students to adopt that passion as well! Technology is one of the best tools available to help engage students in learning, and understanding how to use it effectively will better prepare them for their futures in the 21st century.

Throughout my journey in Lamar’s Digital Learning and Leading program, I have discovered things about the classroom I want to create and my own learning manifesto. I have also developed a learning ePortoflio initiative and professional development sessions with two of my colleagues and learned about how to use the COVA philosophy to create a significant learning environment. All of the resources I have gained and concepts I have come to realize throughout this program have affected the educator I will be moving forward. I am incredibly excited for the next step of my journey and to apply all that I have learned!
